July 27, 2025 1:25 AM (GMT+2) This is the crown that was stolen in the Royal Museum Heist. It’s related to Orinda Aries (probably pertained to its first king? See Featherfall Keep). Throughout the game, I’ve seen some crowns. Namely, in The History of Orindia (2nd edition), Herbert’s freezer letter and most recently Ending cinematic.

I highly suspect that Mary Matthew Jones (Marion Marigold) is the one who stole it, and that it is now being held in secret at the The 46th room. Perhaps if I manage to reach the room again, I will get more information about this.
In any case, what confuses me the most right now is, if my theories are actually correct, why is the crown called the “ruby” crown, if it’s actually blue? Furthermore, red seems to be associated with the opposite of what this crown would represent (Red Prince vs Blue Prince, Fenn Aries vs Orinda Aries?).
August 3, 2025 3:45 PM (GMT+2) According to The Crown of the Blueprints, this used to be the Ruby Crown, but it was modified to be blue by using blueprints and sapphire (in replacement for the rubies, I presume). This pretty much confirms to me that Mary participated in the heist and stole the crown. But why? Obviously there’s a political motivation, but why go to such lengths?
August 16, 2025 11:26 PM (GMT+2) I’ve now confirmed beyond doubt that this crown was stolen by Mary and other members of the RLCF "The Children of Black Water" (see What happened to Mary? for more details). The 7th red letter also references the 8 rubies which were taken from this crown and replaced with sapphires. The true significance of the crown, though, remains unclear.
August 19, 2025 9:09 PM (GMT+2) Actually, I just now realized that the 8 rubies that were originally part of the crown are found besides each of The 8 red letters.
