June 30, 2025 2:37 AM (GMT+2) Simon P. Jones (me)‘s mother (Herbert S. Sinclair’s niece).

July 1, 2025 12:05 AM (GMT+2) She has the pen name “Marion Marigold” (see News snippets at the archives).
Her debut book was The Red Prince, based on Simon’s love for the color red. Presumably, the book contained a critique of the royalist party.
It won a prestigious award, and so did her (presumably) next book “Swim Bird” (see Mary wins Herald literary honor).
After there some shady stuff was made by two members of her publishing firm Ruffington Press (which tried to cover for them), she distanced herself from the firm, and so did several other authors (see Trinsdale bombing).
A few months later, she disappeared somewhere in Trinsdale, see Disappearance of Mary and What happened to Mary?
July 13, 2025 1:32 PM (GMT+2) According to Family tree in the Root Cellar, she originally had her mother’s surname (Epsen). However, likely she changed surnames when marrying Daniel Jones.
This also seems to imply that the Epsens were a very important lineage, because they chose to use her mother’s surname rather than her father’s. This could tie in with the rumors surrounding the Featherfall Keep.
July 31, 2025 7:38 PM (GMT+2) According to Locked news snippets at the archives, passing on the mother’s surname is an Erajan tradition. At this point there are many pieces of evidence pointing to a clear connection between the Epsens and Eraja (or at least, between Clara Epsen and Eraja).
