July 4, 2025 1:50 AM (GMT+2) I believe his full name is “Herbert Simon Sinclair” (previously I knew him as Herbert S. Sinclair). I concluded this from Picture of man and woman dancing, noting that the girl on the left is almost certainly Clara Epsen.

July 13, 2025 1:45 PM (GMT+2) I reverted his name to Herbert S. Sinclair. Simon was another person entirely (his brother), see conclusion in Who's the other Simon?. It is unclear to me now whether he married anyone at all, perhaps not and that’s why his heir is Simon P. Jones (me).

August 9, 2025 8:45 PM (GMT+2) He died of a heart condition, according to News about Herbert’s passing.

September 3, 2025 9:28 PM (GMT+2) It was pretty obvious already, but Herbert’s last will confirms he was unmarried and had no descendance.

September 3, 2025 9:44 PM (GMT+2) He was in very good terms with Clara Epsen, which would explain why he got so involved with Mary Matthew Jones (Marion Marigold) and why he ultimately chose Simon P. Jones (me) as his heir.
