July 4, 2025 7:25 PM (GMT+2) Unclear who he is, but he was involved in very shady stuff. Stealing packages (Note about returning mails) and delivering stuff using the car, presumably for money (Note about drop-off address).
July 5, 2025 1:28 AM (GMT+2) He was the groundskeeper of the manor. He was terminated due to not doing his job properly (Notice of termination). He was also investigating about the 46th room (see Denny’s notes about the 46th room).
July 20, 2025 1:19 AM (GMT+2) According to 7th letter from Randolph, he managed to reach the inside of the Antechamber. It is unclear if he then managed to find the 46th room or not.
July 22, 2025 9:05 PM (GMT+2) Actually, he did not deliver the packages, it was Christoph, but Denny was an accomplice. They illegally sold moonshine and split the profits (see Note about moonshine profits). Also in that note, he asks Christoph to delay his return by an hour or two the next time he takes Herbert S. Sinclair out. This is perhaps so that he was more time to investigate about The 46th room without Herbert being around?
July 24, 2025 12:13 AM (GMT+2) According to Note about servers, he helped Randolph Moore install the network servers on the Blackbridge Grotto (a location that he himself suggested). He also had his own admin key “RevaD”. It is unclear if it was known to Randolph that he had that key, or if he set it up without him knowing.
July 27, 2025 2:41 AM (GMT+2) Perhaps he suggested the Blackbridge Grotto because he suspected it was related to Room 46 (see Note about Room 46 in a locker).
August 3, 2025 4:34 PM (GMT+2) Could he have been involved in Message about the 8 letters??? Unclear.
September 8, 2025 10:36 PM (GMT+2) After finding The original gardener’s logbook and other evidence around it, everything has become clear. Below is the full timeline I’ve pieced together.
Denny got hired as the gardener for Mount Holly. He strikes me as a very curious and slightly mischievous individual, and was always interested in the rumored Room 46. At the start, he fulfilled his duties as normal, and also did some horticulture. Eventually, he managed to create flowers that produced fake gems (also see: Memo about artificial gems). However, Synka (run by Herbert S. Sinclair) withheld that discovery and kept it to themselves. This didn’t sit well with Denny, so he grew some resentment.
He started losing motivation over time and was about to quit, but then he learnt about the existence of a 10th rank. That reignited a flame within him. After his failed attempts at locating Room 46 (see Denny’s notes about the 46th room), he now had a new lead: the north door of the Antechamber.
In parallel to that, he discovered Alcohol brewing instruments and decided to make alcohol to sell it for a hefty sum of money. He colluded with Christoph to make the delivery, giving him a part of the profit (see Note about drop-off address and Note about moonshine profits). After this, he became a bit of his pawn, likely due to the threat of ratting him out.
Eventually, Denny found the Inner Sanctum. Then he waited until Herbert S. Sinclair was out and asked Christoph to delay his return as much as possible so that he had time to flip the lever and go to Room 46 with less risk of being caught.
Once he reached Room 46, he found the very incriminating letters that were sent to Herbert by various people regarding the Disappearance of Mary. He then decided to blackmail him, leaving the Message about the 8 letters (see Cut letters at the Greenhouse) and putting each of the letters in a red envelope (see Red envelopes at the Greenhouse), thus creating The 8 red letters. Presumably, for each 100 gold received, he returned one of the letters.
Evidently, this ties in with the Blackmailing mystery, which I will be updating shortly.
As for Denny’s mystery, I will consider it satisfyingly solved!
