They disliked King Desilets III and one of its citizens, Prince Leerson, proclaimed himself as the “true monarch” after the king’s passing. This proclamation received good support because King Desilets IV didn’t share any of the virtues of his predecessor.

This led to The Pacification of Fenn, transforming the city into a battlefield. The northern regiment was so horrified by the brutality of their actions that he actually joined forces with Prince Leerson, and even managed to convince neighboring realms Arch Aries and Nuance to help them. This resulted in a 22-year civil war that would become known as The War of the Fifth Era.

Ultimately, Fenn won and there was finally a Declaration of peace in Fenn. However, Prince Leerson died in battle. After the victory, the black flags that had flown since the very first era were burned and replaced by red flags. The remaining members of the House of Desilets were exiled to Eraja. As a pretty neutral party, they took them in. After this, Fenn Aries was born.
